I am in the middle of strenuous essay writing and it is hard for me to calm down when the deadline is today and suddenly a flurry of new assignments drop into my inbox. There isn't much for me to do but continue on with the assignment I am working on and take a deep breath. At the same time, as I stare at the words on my paper (or screen), I find it hard to concentrate because half the time I don't know which thoughts to put down. It is now when I need to turn up some music before my mind overruns and burns itself out in stress. Nothing else to it. I summon Youtube and enter in what I find the most helpful music for me when studying. Currently listening to: Complete Final Fantasy Piano Collections - www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-dt1ZXxZ6IRelaxing Piano Studio Ghibli Complete Collection - www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Q-cI4RE5s
Of course when it comes to writing stories or something other, I use different playlists for sake of mood. So I'm curious - what music do you find helps you when you're studying or under such circumstances? Please share! Oh dear, I should be getting back to that essay.

Great question, Nuyori! ^^ For me, it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm writing, reading, or studying, I absolutely can't listen to music with lyrics (in any language). I made a Spotify playlist for that: But I think a few songs with lyrics have snuck in that I haven't removed yet~ When I draw, I can listen to about anything, but normally I listen to something themed to the drawing or whatever I'm feeling in the moment. I have a large selection of Spotify and Apple Music playlists I use, such as Evening K-Acoustics, Creativity Boost, K-Drama OSTs, Deep Focus, Ghibli, Solo Piano, and Afternoon Acoustics. I also love listening to seasonal music, so lately I've been listening to Soak Up The Sun, Tropical Morning, and Summer Cruisin', but in Autumn I listen to Autumn Leaves, Autumn Lounge, and Autumn Jazz. In Winter, I LOVE the Acoustic Winter playlist. And in Spring, I'm fond of the Acoustic Spring playlist.

Thanks for your input Churro ^^ Oh yes, that's something I can relate to. I made an early mistake of trying to write with music with lyrics, and had a terrible time trying to focus (because I couldn't at all lol). You keep your music well organized! O: And you have quite the variety ooooh. I'll see to looking up some of those, they look interesting. Piano or orchestral music helps me the most as study music. Though I use everything else for drawing or writing. Most of my music consists of game OSTs, anime soundtracks, or Vocaloid. Some of the albums in my playlist: - Baccano! OST. - Durarara!! OST. - Layton Brothers Mystery Room - Time Travelers OST. - Darker Than Black OST - Doctor Who - Forbidden Kingdom - (more of this kind of music) Actually there's a band I really like, Tokyo Active NEETs, I think they're called? (something like that, I cannot read T_T) They perform very nice jazz arrangements of all sorts of music. www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8f8H_WYsBc

I have contradicted myself this time around. I had two essays to accomplish this round, but the piano music worked only the first essay.
By the second essay I found myself getting distracted and sleepy to the soothing piano.
But guess what I was writing about this second essay? Games! Video games in fact! So I thought then I could try something a little different. I summoned YouTube once again but this time, instead of Final Fantasy piano music, I selected some Final Fantasy Remixes. The energy and beat got me back up and on track.
I suppose I should keep in mind what I'm doing at the moment to choose my music rather than choose my music first and then write.
Anyway, that's my report on Music I Listen To While I Work today!

This week for Music While I Work: Ace Attorney piano music! www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgE5gKoeg8wNo, I wasn't writing up a lawsuit today, but I had the need for listening to something else than my previous playlist. Lovely jazzy, tense, and active music that's keeping me alert for now

This week is my last week of essays! (HYEAH) I can't relax quite yet though. In fact, I'm finding it hard to relax under the shelf of other duties I have to attend to this week. I couldn't exactly find a compilation of Professor Layton piano music, so I had to settle with other orchestrations instead. Found a playlist of Live PL arrangements. This is one of them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6T0y9gN-kQ&list=PLI1TgR1r8pCqe2-N9zWjRr_5q2Qm6dSq_&index=4Happy working!

I'mma need a new playlist for this new writing course. It's writing for business subjects. Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking of business like tunes (are there such things?). Like music that you would use for a business meeting, or any kind of meeting, in a movie scene.
