Check out the list: myanimelist.net/anime/season/2016/summerThe summer season has a reputation for being the best anime season of the year - so what do you think? Will it live up to that expectation this year, too? Are there any you're excited to see, or are skeptic about? Tell us below!

I'm actually not familiar with any of the titles *sniffle*
But looks like some interesting ones there! Guess I'll have to watch them when they come out to find out, ahaha.
Would about you Churro? What are you looking forward to?

I wanted to watch Berserk but didn't like the art too much. I am excited for Mob Psycho though!

So this Summer Season is okay, I'm not keeping up with as many shows as I thought and it's not as varied or interesting as last season. But these are my thoughts on what I'm watching.
Love Live! Sunshine!! - The next generation of Love Live comes to us in a countryside setting where our heroine Chika discovers the joys of being a school idol after watching a Muse music video. Muse being the old group from the original. Now Chika must gather 8 friends and save their school from closing by becoming top idols. It's all about home town sentiment and how anyone can become a star, even these 9 weird girls in the middle of nowhere. Sunshine is a real good show, it's funny, well paced, touches some good topics and in general tells the story very well. Chika is inspired by Muse and tries to do as they did, not unlike all the kids who saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan and went out to make their own bands. Not unlike Roger McGuinn who watched A Hard Day's Night, saw George Harrison's 12-string and bought his own, creating an innovative band, The Byrds and basically inventing folk rock and jangle pop. Chika has to finds her own way to be a star, realizing she can't just follow Muse's footsteps. It's a great show.
New Game! - Aoba is fresh out of high school and right away she gets a job at a video game company for graphic designs. New Game! is a light slice of life show with cute girls and nothing but. It's not a real look into a workplace, although it does have a few good themes. This show took a while but once you slip into the cozy setting it's fun. The characters are eccentric and Aoba herself is easy to put yourself in, she is almost like me when I got my first job. The show has a lot more ecchi content then expected, but it's very light and not distracting. I like this show.
Amanchu! - Our heroine discovers the joys of diving when she meets a wacky girl that basically forces her into the hobby. Amanchu! is a very slow moving, healing type, slice of life that is all about warm and fuzzies. It's similar to Sketchbook Full Colours in tone. Not as good, but still a light watch. The art is nice, although it uses chibi faces a lot. The actually base style is interesting though, as it's a kind of modified shoujo look. This show has some really great scenes, it can drag a bit but for a healing type show it does it's job. Not nearly as good as Flying Witch from last season, but still something.
Masou Gakuen HxH - Ho boy. The less said about this show the better. In basic words it's bad badder baddest, sometimes the ecchi is good, but as a whole it's a totally awful production with no passion behind it. It's something to behold in how silly and crazy it gets which is why I keep up with it, but I would avoid this one.
Ange Vierge - A weird and tonely confused series about girls who fight against...each other? There are like 9 worlds and some of the girls become evil...this show is weird. There is a bath scene IN EVERY EPISODE, and each episode goes over the same formula. It will be really funny then get ultra melodramatic. Ange Vierge really has no idea what it wants to be, the creative vision is a jumbled mess. It's fun though, and the cast is likable. Their are a ton of world class voice actresses in the show as well. This is something I would only watch when it's airing, it's really nothing at all.
Orange - Naho, our heroine, gets a letter from herself 10 years in the future. There is a new transfer student who in a few months will be dead. Naho's letter details how she and her friends can save him and erase all her future self's regrets. So it's a high school romance about friendship and stuff with a pretty neat concept behind it all. The show has some issues, I feel the directing is awkward and sometimes the animation is glitchy. The artstyle is awesome but the characters don't move too well. I like the story though and I feel it's doing good so far.
Banaya - A cute two minute short about cats who live in bananas. This show is actually pretty funny and creative, for what it is it's better then expected. I legitimately recommend checking this one out.
Onara Gorou - The short tale of the greatest fart cloud who ever lived. Onaru Gorou is a fasinating work of absurdity akin to Inferno Cop. It's actually very funny and made in an intentionally low budget way. Check it out for the laughs.
