I think you guys are onto something with the colour thing. Now I know one big reason why this 'winter' feeling sucks. Other than the no snow thing the light is down right soul sucking! I'm definitely investing in at least black out curtains so that I can use the flourescents at least, or I need to find some way to plaster my walls with colourful stuff or something. You know, I'd even prefer a dark gray, or something as uncomfortable for me as red or yellow, but this bleached gray light thing drives me insane. Yeeeesh. How are your projects going btw?

Bleached gray lighting? That sounds serious man. What kind of lighting do they use over there?
I've been dilly-dallying at one project or another while handling several on my plate on and off. The most progress I've made so far is with my VN. More updates for that one. I find I lose motivation for the long novel-ish works.
How are your projects coming along?

Yeah, that's the only way I can describe it.
It turns out I can defeat it if I just have a nice coffee and listen to the right music haha. And the sun is slowly coming back. Now I am getting that euphoric spring feeling.
I had no progress at all because of the holiday and a bad bout of demotivation, but I think I'm back on track at least for this week. I'm looking forward to writing more Flash Fiction and continuing comic drawing. I really want to get some stories out whether my art is great or not haha.
Kakanak has more updates? I need to get to that at a point. I hope sometime this week.

Woohoo! Coffee and music - the right combination indeed.
Lol. When it's the holidays I always think "Great! I can get all my work done!". But in reality -> "Y'know what, it's the holidays, I just want to relax." (Gets absolutely nothing done in the end.)
Looking forward to seeing more of your stories. XD
For KJ I'm (finally) almost done the first chapter. Hope to get that over with soon.

*hides from Draw This Again topic in fear* I avoid drawing things again because I don't want to discover I didn't become a legendary artist overnight haha More importantly I need to make an art topic... But I don't know what I should put there really. I keep on having this feeling that I shouldn't put my usual stuff on Matsuri since it seems like a cheery forum. But the fact is I'm bad at comedy and stuff like that. The only joke I know is why did the chicken cross the road? Because legomaestro was chasing it and was hungry!

I think Draw This Again's are a great way to prove to yourself how much one really DOES change! Especially over the span of several years. As for me, I'm re-drawing a particularly embarrassing piece from 2012, and I wasn't expecting the re-draw to look as different as it does! It boosted my confidence. Haha!! Don't worry, even if the vibe here is cheery, we appreciate all the work you have to offer! And let's be honest, everyone creates at least a little bit of angsty or dark material. Even I have a small collection of such works (mostly writing) hidden deep within my files.

@lego *pats Lego's back* It's okay, you're already an acclaimed Maestro. What improvement is there to worry about? (ho ho ho ) Hmm, maybe you could add art studies to your gallery. You're very good at doing those XD Dat chicken better run for its life lol. @churro Hope to see that Draw-it-Again picture soon! June'll be gone before we know it XD - - - Update for me - I'M DONE MY ESSAY COURSE! HA! I felt like I leveled. I passionately dislike writing academic non-fiction material, but I decided to overcome my essay skill weakness at least so I'm not so afraid when I get confronted with it in the future. ... Essays will always be dreadful nonetheless, but at least I can deal with them ahaha... Another event - I'll be publicly reading one of my stories at a book launch. Did I mention I have stage fright as well...? The things I put myself to... But I don't want to be known as the writer of my group that chickens out, so I'm going to go for it and try to read it as best as I can. Although... would any of you have any tips one what I should focus on when I read on stage? Like, where I should look and such. I'll be using a book to read from, but I remember one tip when doing public speaking is to look at your audience once in a while. Or is that for recited speeches only...?

I was finally called Maestro! Thank you Nuyori... Thank you... If you say so, I shall try to do so! I do need an art topic and some stories too I guess haha. Congrats!!!!! That's really something really commendeable. I'm going towards the writing direction as well in the university. Public reading? Yiikes. Good Luck Nuyo! I'm sure you'll be commended haha. Tips? I suck at public events, but I'd say sweep the crowd. If you're leaning over your work it's perfect because you can read a lot of the work before you need to look up. Have a pensieve thoughtful expression on your face as you read the story. Try to inflect the character dialogue with your emotions so that the audience focuses on you rather than you needing to focus on them

Do so XD I look forward to seeing what you post. Thanks! My teach was happy with me as well (Thank you sensei ) What type of writing would you be studying? Yeah, luckily I get to read out my own characters. I've practiced as much as I can as well. But that's a good idea, I'll try that indeed. Thank you!
